The trailer for last year's LINOLEUM festival will take part in the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The video directed by Mykyta Lyskov will compete for the award in Commissioned Films category.
In 2020, Linoleum Contemporary Animation and Media Art Festival was dedicated to the topic ‘Becoming Human’. The Ukrainian director created an animated trailer for the festival, in which he humorously tried to answer the question of what makes us human.
"I made this video to have fun, I wanted it to be funny. I am glad to see my humor understood not only at home but also abroad, and it gives me the strength to keep fooling around. Thank MC Brekhunets and sound director Anton Baibakov for the music," Lyskov said.
The Annecy International Animation Film Festival is the oldest and largest animation festival in the world. It will be held from July 14 to 19 this year.
The 8th LINOLEUM International Film Festival will take place in online and offline formats on September 1-5 this year. 'Presence. Intimacy. Touch' is the theme of the festival. Everyone can apply for participation in the Ukrainian competition until May 17.
