Attack against Yuriy Levchenko, people’s deputy, member of Svoboda in Kyiv on March 9, 2018 during the demolishing of illegal garages in Shevchenkivskyi district will be investigated under the article on violence against political figure. Press-office of Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office wrote ON Facebook.
Relevant amendments were listed in the Unified registry of pre-trial investigations. The Prosecutor’s Office opened a case on attack under the article of Ukraine’s Criminal Code on danger or violence against political or public figure.
Besides, due to the information about clashes during this incident the Prosecutor’s Office opened a case under the article on vandalism.
As we reported earlier, Svyatoslav Kutniak, Kyiv Council deputy, said that Levchenko was “beaten senseless”, he probably “got a burn” from a pepper spray.
