Russian lawyer Ilia Novikov has visited Roman Mokriak in remand center, who is the commander of Ukrainian boat “Bedyansk” seized by the Russian Federation in Kerch Strait as 112 Ukraine reported.
“I left the remand center a half an hour ago. Roman feels good. He is more interested in the state of his subordinates, member of his crew, particularly, the boat “Berdyansk” which was shelled by the Russian naval ships. Roman is still not provided with the civilian clothes. He is wearing county jumpsuit issued to the sentenced people,” the lawyer said.
Roman asked to pass “hello” and New Year greetings to his relatives and all people, who support him through Novikov.
“He understands in which state he is,” the lawyer added.
On November 25, the coast guard ships of the Russian Navy attacked the ships of the Ukrainian Navy, which have been carrying out a scheduled transition from Odesa port to Mariupol port in the Sea of Azov.
21 Ukrainian sailors have been delivered to Lefortovo remand center in Moscow, three others are in the hospital of Matrosskaya Tishina prison, also in the Russian capital. On December 26, Crimean Supreme Court left all Ukrainian sailors under arrest.
