“Secondhand embarrassment and we have told! The law on oligarchs #5599 will be revoted. There was no sense to hurry and be quick with no rules yesterday to brokenly correct it today. We have told 100500 times that there are some legal mistakes. Now we need one more voting in the parliament (according to article 131) to correct the legal collision. Or it will not be signed,” Zheleznyak wrote.
According to him, the committee has considered three updates that contradict each other.
“Correspondingly, they want to revote the 5th article of law. Article on how an oligarch is recognized as an oligarch. Once more. They wiped the floor with the regulation to submit the law for voting the next week (or later),” the MP added.
As we reported, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine considered bill No. 5599 on de-oligarchization without waiting for Venice Commission's opinion.
As it was reported earlier, the commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada on human rights Lyudmyla Denisova suggested to Razumkov to direct this bill to the Venice commission. According to Denisova, the law stipulates that the president and the National Security and Defense Council be endowed with powers not provided by the Constitution of Ukraine, restriction of human rights depending on property status, indirect introduction of censorship in the media, and so on.
