The law On amendment of some legislative acts on the provision of gradual implementation of the united judicial information and telecommunication system has come into force in Ukraine on May 26. The document was published at Holos Ukrayiny on the eve.
The explanatory note to the law notes that the system is the total of information and telecommunication sub-systems that provide automation of processes of activity established by the legislation, including document flow, consideration of cases, compiling of operative and analytical accounting, provision of information support to judges, as well as processes providing financial, property, organization, staff, information and telecommunication, and other needs of the system’s users.
Besides, the united system should simplify the procedures of communication between citizens-partakers of the court processes and their representatives and court bodies, simplifying procedures for citizens.
The system should act at the courts, Supreme Court of Justice, Council of Judges, the Supreme Qualification Commission of Judges, State Court Administration, enterprises belonging to the judicial sphere and the National School of Judges of Ukraine.
The document provides that the creation and provision of functioning of the united judicial information and telecommunication system will be implemented gradually.
Separate subsystems or units of the united judicial information and telecommunication system start to function at each stage in 30 days after the publishing of a proper announcement of the Supreme Council of Justice is published at Holos Ukrayiny and web portal of the judicial authorities of the creation and provision of functioning of relevant subsystem or unit of the system.
In October 2020, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky brought into action the law on the restoration of integrity of the Constitutional Court.
