The law enforcers detained a man who threatened to blow up Metro Bridge in Kyiv as the local police reported.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko stated that the perpetrator downed the police quadcopter, which spotted his face, from the pipe gun as 112 Ukraine reported.

Moreover, Klitschko reported, that possibly, the man is influenced by alcohol or drugs.

“Preliminary, he is drunk. There was a phone talk with him; he talked with a lot of acquaintances by phone. His demands are unclear as well as the motives. There is the high probability that he is drugged,” the message said.

According to Ukraine 24/7 Telegram channel, the perpetrator surrendered but earlier he demanded from the leaders of the state to stop the capitulation in Donbas.

Earlier it was reported that an unknown man got the Metro bridge in Kyiv, stopped in the middle of it and got out.  The law enforcers qualified case as the preparation for the terrorist act.  Patrol police units, K-9 units, SWAT and explosive ordnance disposal team work at the site.

It was also reported that a man who rigged Metro Bridge in Kyiv is 42-year-old citizen of Crimea Oleksiy Belko. In June 2019, he voluntary handed over kilo of explosive and 88 ammo to Desnyansky police in Kyiv. According to him, he “found them at the safe in the village in Chernihiv region”.
