The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov announced about the opportunity to exchange Ukrainian prisoners detained in Russia for the Russian citizens, who are imprisoned in Ukraine. Lavrov announced this after a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the OSCE countries, reports RIA News.

Lavrov said this in response to the question of the journalist who asked about exchange of Oleg Sentsov, Roman Sushchenko and Stanislav Klyha, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

“As for Ukrainians being held in for Russian Federation there sure are some legal possibilities, they were already used before in the exchange of Nadia Savchenko. There are Russian citizens in Ukrainian prisons. It all depends on how the legal procedures will be applied to each of the parties, "he said at the press conference.

Recall that currently there are 13 illegally imprisoned Ukrainian citizens in Russia.

Earlier it was reported that Sushchenko writes letter to Hollande asking for help. The letter was handed over to the French Foreign Ministry by Sushchenko’s lawyer last week.

Also Putin refused to release Sentsov, calling his question "sensitive". Putin claims that Sentsov was not sentenced for his art, but for taking on completely different functions.
