Two Latvian residents were detained by law enforcers and guards of Chornobyl Speckombinat in the city of Pripyat, Kyiv region National Police press service reports. 

Young people (20 and 19 years old) illegally entered the exclusion zone for the purpose of extreme tourism.

Administrative protocols have been drawn up in accordance with Article 46-1 (Violation of the requirements of the radiation safety regime in the areas exposed to radioactive contamination) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative offenses.

Foreigners will have to pay a fine.

As it was reported earlier French company plans to build a 1,25 billion dollar solar power plant in Chornobyl. Some 60 companies are currently interested in managing projects in the exclusion zone.
