The State Emergency Commission made a decision to withdraw the Sumy region from the “red” zone of quarantine as Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchynov reported on Telegram.

“According to results, the State Commission decided to cancel from 00:00, May 8, 2021, the “red” epidemic level of risk of Covid-19 spread in the territory of Sumy region,” the message said.

From May 8, the restrictive measures of the “yellow” level of the epidemic risk will act in the territory of the Sumy region.

It is the last region that stays in the “red” zone.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine has emerged from the third wave of coronavirus.

As we reported, 8,404 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Ukraine in 24 hours. During the past 24 hours, the majority of the cases were registered in Kyiv (611), Kharkiv (911), Dnipropetrovsk (622), Donetsk (571) and Zaporizhia (494) regions.
