Rescuers reported the fire on May 27 at 13:45.
43 units of equipment and 130 of personnel (of which 14 units of equipment and 50 rescuers of the regional State Emergency Service, 22 units of equipment and 43 forest protection workers, 1 unit of equipment and 3 workers of the Oleshky Sands National Park, 5 units of equipment and 30 people of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kherson region) and the MI-8 helicopter of the Defense Ministry, that three times discharged water to the fire area to prevent its spread are involved in the fire-fighting.
On May 28, as of 10:00, extinguishing of some focuses of fire continued.
4 units of equipment and 15 rescuers of the regional State Emergency Service and 4 units of equipment and 10 forest guards are on duty on the site.
As it was reported earlier, according to the State Emergency Service, the highest level of the combustion hazard will be observed across the entire territory of Ukraine - except of the highland area of the Carpathian mountains. Level 4 of the fire hazard will be observed in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Level 5 danger is observed in some areas of Kyiv region.
