“As for today, we have much fewer patients. There are a lot of patients who remain in intensive care, in the inpatient department for a long time, there are those who are already in serious condition. There also are many young people but the number in the department is much less,” the doctor said.
The provision of hospitals with drugs and working conditions for doctors depends on the institution.
“I work in two institutions – city and regional subordination. These are very different. There is a full supply of drugs from the first day when we started working on a full scale in the city institution. And in the regional institution, we had interruptions, and today, it is the same. There are few drugs, a limited number and a choice to help patients. Patients must buy some things on their own,” Kobevko stated.
According to her, the hospital was delayed in paying the surcharges promised by the authorities to people working in difficult conditions in February. So far, doctors at the regional hospital have not received additional payments for March, and there was no advance or salary. The management of the institution does not give any explanations for the delay in payments.
"When we address the leadership, they say that it is the National Health Insurance Fund, when we address the National Health Insurance Fund, they say that the money is transferred. If it is about our institution, our chief doctor receives a minimum salary of $ 2,809 (78,000 UAH), not working with Covid. Unfortunately, for some reason, ordinary doctors did not receive any advance, or salary, or covid-payments, even in March, especially now for the holidays - we have a very religious region, and people are preparing for Easter," the infectious disease specialist said.
As it was reported earlier, the Chief Medical Officer of Mechnykov hospital in Dnipro said that there are no available beds in Mechnykov hospital in Dnipro. And the situation with bed availability all over Ukraine gets worse.
