According to him, on Friday, October 22, the Commission for Emergency Situations of the city will decide on the introduction of additional restrictions and the functioning of the capital in the conditions of the "red" zone.

Klitschko noted that over the past day in Kyiv - almost 1,200 new patients and 39 deaths were observed. The age of those who died is from 29 years old. In recent days, half a thousand patients have been hospitalized in hospitals in the capital. And most of them are in serious condition. Patients requiring oxygen support or mechanical ventilation. The beds in the capital's hospitals are filling up. Already over 50% of the beds, which the city has prepared for the treatment of patients with coronavirus, are full. And over 63% are filled with oxygen.
According to Klitschko, today 98% of those hospitalized in the city's hospitals are not vaccinated. And 99% of deaths are from unvaccinated patients.
As we reported, seven more regions of Ukraine may fall into the "red" quarantine zone soon.
As of October 18, five regions of Ukraine are in the red quarantine zone. These are Kherson, Zaporizhia, Odesa, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions and in Lviv.
