Kyiv has begun preparing for the third wave of the coronavirus epidemic. The relevant decision was made by the local authorities. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.

"Kyiv begins to prepare for the third wave of the Covid-19 acute respiratory disease epidemic.This is stated in the protocol No. 10 of the meeting of the emergency response headquarters chaired by the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk," the statement reads.

In particular, the local authorities instructed to work out the issue of increasing the number of hospital beds for patients with suspected coronavirus.

According to the protocol, hospitals included in the second wave of hospital reception centers for those infected with coronavirus must prepare to receive patients during the third wave of the epidemic. In particular, to ensure the supply of oxygen, to purchase the necessary medicines and personal protective equipment.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian vaccination certificate has already been recognized by several European countries. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during an hour of questions to the government.

"We are systematically working towards the recognition of Ukrainian covid certificates abroad, so that Ukrainians can travel freely around the world ... Hungary, Greece, Moldova and Turkey have already agreed to recognize Ukrainian certificates," Shmyhal said.
