The Kyiv City Council refused to allocate $920, 250 for the holding of the final of the UEFA Champions League in Kyiv in May 2018. 10 voiced were needed for the adoption of the decision as 112.ua reported.

51 MPs voted for the adoption of the particular project while 61 voiced were needed. 29 MPs abstained.

The MPs refused to support the project of the decision that makes the amendments to the program ‘Youth and Sports of Capital’ that was adopted in 2016 and did not provide the allocation of the funds for the holding of the UEFA Champions League.

However, according to the agreement signed between the UEFA and Kyiv authority, the city obliged to hold the solemn reception in honor of the participants of the official delegations, to organize all events connected with the locations and provide the proper appearance of the city.

The issue is about the decoration of Kyiv with UEFA marks and pennants in the style of the final of UEFA Champions League with the pictures of the football players of four teams.

As we reported a sale of the tickets for the final match of the 2018 UEFA Champions League in Kyiv will begin on March 16, 16:00 Kyiv time and will end March 22, 15:00.
