National Corps held a protest in Kyiv downtown in support of their leader Serhiy Filimonov. Thick smoke filled the square in the center, people heard explosions, as Informator reported.
Dozens of protesters gathered near the building of Pechersky District Court. As the participants of the rally stated, they came to support their friend in the court. Yet, they were shooting off firecrackers and firing flares, and they plan to do that all day.
Serhiy Filimonov is a Ukrainian serviceman, public figure, ATO participant, the Head of Kyiv unit of National Corps political party. He also participated in the Revolution of Dignity.
In 2015, Filimonov was a coordinator of Azov unit in Crimea’s blockade.
On May 4, 2018 he took part in an attempt to detain Rafael Lusvargi in Kyiv.
On May 16, 2018 he was arrested for conflict with the representatives of Kyivmiskbud.
