Kyiv disrupts preparation for final document of Ukraine-EU summit, - sources

The Ukrainian side has not agreed yet the project of the joint document on the final of Ukraine-EU summit, which should take place on July 8, as ZN.UA reported citing the diplomatic sources.

According to the message, Brussels is concerned about the absence of a respond from Kyiv, as without the agreement with the Ukrainian side, Coperer (Committee of Permanent Representatives in the European Union, which play the key role in the adoption of the decisions of the EU) cannot approve the final project of the document before the summit.

The Office of the President of Ukraine got the text of the project but did not confirm it. Moreover, the number of the logistics issues were not solved, particularly, the visit of President of the European Council Donald Tusk to the place of the withdrawal of troops in Stanytsia Luhanska was not prepared.

The sources in Brussels report that the European side cannot define the responsible person for foreign policy issues at the Office of the president and searches for a way of contacts with new authority.

The holding of Ukraine-EU summit was announced on June 4, 2019.
