Kyiv District Administrative Court decides whether to open criminal proceedings on lawsuit of Mikheil Saakashvili against the Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine, in which he asks the court to oblige the prosecutor's office to provide copies of the extradition check materials held at Georgia’s request. This was stated in the message on the court’s website.
"District Administrative Court of Kyiv is considering the issue of opening a case on another lawsuit of Saakashvili against the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine. Saakashvili asks the court to oblige the prosecutor's office to provide him with copies of the extradition check materials carried out on the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia’s Justice Ministry,” the message says.
In addition, Saakashvili filed another lawsuit against Ukraine’s State Migration Service. He asks the court to recognize illegal inactivity of the State Migration Service in consideration of a complaint on resolving the issue of recognition as a refugee or a person who requires additional protection within the terms defined by law.
The court hearing is scheduled for January 16, the day same when Saakashvili should be questioned by the Security Service investigators.
As it was reported earlier the Security Service of Ukraine completed the interrogation of the ex-head of the Odesa Regional State Administration and former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.
According to Saakashvili's lawyers, he was questioned on the case of organizing a protest at the parliament building.
