Kyiv commemorated victims of the World War II. Members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Park of Eternal Glory in Kyiv. This was reported on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Kyiv city authorities also honored the memory of victims with a minute of silence, the company of Guards of honor held a solemn march and the hymn of Ukraine sounded in honor of the fallen.

The Prime Minister spoke with the veterans, participants of the Second World War, who also came to honor the memory of the dead.

Earlier it was reported that Poroshenko honored memory of victims of WWII on May 9. Ukrainian leader joined the memorial ceremony at the Slavy Square in Kyiv.
