Kyiv Armored Vehicle Plant made pilot APC steel hull released by NATO

It will be sent to the firing range in the nearest time for the holding of the testing under control of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine

Kyiv Armored Vehicle Plant which joint the state company “Ukroboronprom” has manufactured the pilot hull of the armored personnel carrier 3DA (APC-3DA) made of the armored steel released by one of the NATO countries as the press service of “Ukroboronprom” reported.

“The pilot hull, for the manufacturing of which we needed to weld more than 1,800 separate details, while 1,000 of them are armored, will be sent to the firing range in the nearest time for the holding of the testing under control of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine. The hull will be shelled from the minimal distances from different types of arms, particularly, heavy machine gun,” the message said.

After the successful training and in the presence of the orders from the law enforcement bodies of Ukraine, Kyiv Armored Vehicle Plant will be able to weld the hulls for APC-3DA and other hardware on this base on its own and it will allow to significantly extend the production of this vehicle.

As we reported for the first time over the last 19 years, combat tests of the S-300B1 S-300V1 air defense system, providing a defense against ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and aircraft, have been conducted in Ukraine.

Besides, the tests of guided missiles started in Kherson region on November 1. The airspace over the Black Sea will be closed for the time being.
