Kremlin reacted on the statement of Internal Minister’s Advisor Anton Herashchenko that the killer of the ex-State Duma MP Denis Voronenkov was from Russia’s special forces. The press secretary of the President of Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that this statement was absurd, reports Interfax.

“Those accusations are absolutely absurd. We hope that they don’t mean refusal to conduct a serious investigation, serious investigative measures,” he noted.

Earlier it was reported that Internal Ministry told the details about Voronenkov’s killer. The murderer of the former State Duma MP Voronenkov is Ukraine’s citizen who was specially trained in Russia to perform sabotages.

The killer died in the hospital in Kyiv. He got two wounds in the chest and one shot in the head.

Two men were shot dead in Kyiv downtown, at the intersection of Pushkinska and Shevchenko streets near the hotel ‘Premier Palace’: Voronenkov and his bodyguard.

Law enforcers say it’s a contract murder. “This is the first version we consider, knowing who the victim is and his activity and the way a crime was committed.”
