The Shevchenkivsky Court of Kyiv arrested Stanislav Yezhov, the governmental interpreter that is suspected in the espionage in the favor of Russia for two months as Hromadske reported.
'Stanislav Yezhov, the suspected in the state treason, the official of the Cabinet and the interpreter of Ukrainian Prime Minister was arrested until February 17th without a right for the bail', the message said.
According to the advocate of the detained, Yezhov did no plead guilty.
As it was reported earlier counter-intelligence officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) uncovered an official of the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers who was working in the interests of the intelligence of Russia on December 20th.
Later it was reported that the SBU detained Stanislav Yezhov, the assistant of Volodymyr Groysman, the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
The law enforcers established that the official was recruited by the Russian intelligence during his long business trip abroad. The operatives of the SBU documented that the official used special equipment to collect information about the activity of the governmental bodies as a task of Russian handlers. The perpetrator transmitted the obtained data through electronic channels of communication.
Kremlin claimed that it did not possess information on the detention of Stanislav Yezhov, the assistant of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, that is accused of the state treason in favor of Russia.
The service added that the spy was detained at his workplace. A criminal case was opened against him on the suspicion of high treason.
