The press secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov stated a fact of Russian writer being in “DPR” but refused to comment this, reports Kommersant.
“You know that there are indeed Russian citizens who just like citizens of any other countries, countries of Western and Eastern Europe go to these unrecognized republics due to different reasons, either it’s their heart desire, or any other motives and they are staying there because of these reasons…This is a fact that we can state, but I wouldn’t like to comments it,” Peskov declared.
Earlier it was reported that Russian writer became the deputy commander of “DPR” battalion. Prilepin declared that the ultimate goal of the war in Donbas is Kyiv.
Answering if he had taken part in fighting as a part of battalion, he said that “political director is not a nursery teacher. If you understand what you’re asking about, - being the deputy commander of the battalion, I cannot avoid participating in anything. The battalion is stationed at the frontline and accomplishes military tasks,” Prilepin explained.
“The sub unit has already been formed on my initiative and we will strive to ride into any nearby town that we had abandoned earlier on a white horse,” Prilepin said.
