Ex-Head of the National Agency for Preventing Corruption (NAPC) Natalia Korchak was informed about the suspicion in the non-declaration of the wealth in the sum of $21,653 as the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) reported.

It is noted that Korchak was informed about the suspicion by the NABU detectives by procedural control of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) reported.

The investigation established that Korchak did not include the information about the car used by her on the declaration of the official for 2016.

The mother of her husband bought the car in 2016 for $21,653; however, as of December 31, 2016, this property was constantly used by former NAPC official and her husband. Consequently, according to the law, this fact had to be mentioned in the 2016 declaration but she did not do it.

The investigation has begun in October 2017.

Earlier the NABU closed the criminal proceeding on granting the allowances to herself. In April 2019, the investigation was stopped and the case was closed due to the absence of the elements of a criminal offense in the actions of Korchak.

In May 2017, the journalists reported that they found Skoda Octavia A7 of Korchak not mentioned in the declaration.

NABU Head Artem Sytnyk stated that in February 2018 the evidence was gathered; however, SAPO Head Nazar Kholodnytsky blocked the agreement of the suspicion.

Korchak stated that on December 6, 2018, the so-called “the investigative actions took place under the pretext of robbing”.
