Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko posted a video on Facebook that announces 56th congress of the World Boxing Council (WBC) that will take place in Kyiv for the first time. The great sports event will take place from September 30 until October 5 as the press service of Klitschko reported.
“Friends! Ukraine, Kyiv prepare to host the congress of the World Boxing Council. The legends of the world boxing, acting champions of the world, presidents of the federations of the WBC countries-members, judges, sports managers and functionaries will come to us, - Klitschko wrote, - Such legends of the boxing as Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield, Erik Morales and others confirmed their participation in the congress. Thus, from September 30 until October 5, Kyiv will become the boxing capital!”.
He also noted that more than 700 partakers from 160 countries of the world will be hosted in Kyiv.
As we reported the holding of the Congress in Kyiv was announced on March 26. Kyiv Mayor, the 'eternal champion' of the WBC Vitaly Klitschko personally agreed with the leadership of the WBC on the holding of this event in the capital of Ukraine.
Earlier Vitaly Klitschko was granted the title of the WBC Eternal Superheavyweight World Champion.
