Vitali Klitschko, WBC champion in super-heavyweight, arrive in Canastota, U.S., where he is to take part in the ceremony of joining the International Boxing Hall of Fame, as the press office of Kyiv Mayor reports.
Before the ceremony, Klitschko participated in a couple of several events. He has made a fist print, which new members of the hall usually do. Kyiv Mayor has also visited the Museum of Boxing Fame.
“My brother Volodymyr and I feel very honoured to have performed on the same ring with the greatest boxers, the legends we looked up to. I didn’t expect it to be here,” Klitschko said.
He also added that he was grateful to all who estimated his contribution in the world box, who respect Ukraine for its achievements.
The events will last for four days – June 7-10. A golf tournament, an autograph signing of box celebrities, VIP-party and a champions parade will be conducted within the ceremony.
The official ceremony of joining the International Boxing Hall of Fame for the new members takes place in Turning Stone Resort casino on June 10.
