Khreshchatyk street in Kyiv will be closed off for transport from April 26 to May 18. Pedestrian traffic will also be partially limited on the central street. This was reported by the transport infrastructure department of the Kyiv city administration.

“Due to the organization of the locations of Eurovision 2017, the traffic will be limited on some streets for the time of the song contest,” the message says.

The traffic will be closed off from 00:00 of April 26 to 00:00 of May 18:

  • on Khreshchatyk st. from Bohdana Khmelmytskoho st., to Mykhaylovska st.
  • on Prorizna st. from Pushkinska st. to Khreshchatyk in both directions.

Pedestrian traffic will also be partially limited from April 26 to May 18 from Bohdana Khmelmytskoho street to Prorizna street on the lower side of the sidewalk on the odd side of the Khreshchatyk street.

In addition, in the center of Kyiv, as well as in the vicinity of the International Exhibition Center, traffic will be also limited starting from May 1.

Earlier it was reported about forecasts of the bookmakers of the Eurovision2017.

There is little time left before the start of Eurovision Song Contest.  Eurovision-2017 will be held in Kyiv on the territory of the International Exhibition Center. The final of the song contest is scheduled for May 13.

According to the forecasts of the bookmakers, Ukraine would take the 28th place. This is evidenced by the combined bookmakers’ data at eurovisionworld.com. Ukraine’s music band O.Torvald with its composition “Time” is definitely not among the favorites. On the other hand, Ukraine’s final performance number is 22, which is considered a pretty profitable lot. However, last year, when Jamala triumphed at Eurovision, bookmakers did not put her in first place.
