The first mobile hospital for patients with coronavirus will be set up in Ukraine this year. It will be located on the territory of Kakhovka Central City Hospital in Kherson region, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
"A mobile hospital of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine will be set up in the Kherson region. The mobile hospital will be located on a specially prepared site of Kakhovka Central City Hospital named after the Pankeiev family," the statement said.
The hospital will have 35 tents and modules, 24 of which are patient wards and an intensive care unit. It is autonomous, equipped with electric generators, heat guns and lighting towers.
Its deployment will increase the capacity of the hospital by 120 beds for patients with Covid-19.
As it was reported earlier, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 14,634 new cases of Covid-19 on October 24, including 999 children and 173 healthcare workers. 3,912 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 330 patients deceased and 4,598 recovered. 68,569 tests have been taken. Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Dnipropetrovsk (1,065), Zaporizhia (1,037), Odesa (1,262) and Kharkiv (1,687) regions.
