The correspondence People's Deputy from Vidrodzhennia Party that shows how the deputies organize meetings and their media coverage got into the focus of the photographer of Ukrainian News Bogdan Bortakov.
During the session meeting on December 8, the MP Oleg Kulinich writes to his political strategist, who organizes the rally of "nationwide peasant support" of the bill #4355 which gives the right to manage agricultural land to local authorities.
“It’s raining outside. I’m afraid people won’t be standing for long,” the strategist complains.
“I won’t go out,” answers the deputy.
At this time the Verkhovna Rada addressed the issue of removal of immunity of the deputy Vadym Novynskyi, so the deputies fail to consider the issue on the agenda important to agricultural lobby.
"The rally dispersed, no luck with the weather :( There's rain with ice," technologis complains later.
Then he immediately reports that the main work is done: "We have a picture and photos so we'll make you nice posts in Facebook".
In conclusion he promises: "Next time we'll organize support again".
“It’s a pity,” the deputy reacts sluggishly.
A few minutes later the strategist sends the text for Facebook for approval. "It is a pity that people who gathered at the Rada in support of bill #4355 had to stand near the Parliament in such weather. But I’m sure it wasn’t in vain ...," reads the deputy of the so-called agrarian lobby".
But half an hour later a post with photos of the rally appears on the official Facebook page of Oleg Kulinich.
The bill #4355 provides for the decentralization of lands disposal, including giving the right to manage agricultural lands to local authorities.
However, a number of experts were critical of the regulations of the mentioned draft.
The Cabinet of Ministers also saw risks in this project and said that the document needs serious revision.
At the same time, the project successfully passed the VR Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land (where Oleg Kulinich is head of the subcommittee) and was included to the agenda of the Parliament.
Later the press office of Oleg Kulinich got in touch with the Ukrainian News and explained that the deputy was talking to the press secretary Igor Vishnevskyi and with Deputy Chairman of Ukrainian Agrarian Association Marian Zablockyi. In conversation they discussed the possibility of communication with people who came to the rally.
Earlier it was reported that a house of People’s Deputy was attacked with rocket launcher in Kharkiv region. The police opened a criminal case.
