Journalist says security attacked him near restaurant where Poroshenko was

Near one of the restaurants in Koncha Zaspa, where at the moment President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and other high-ranking officials were, journalists were attacked by officers of Administration of State Guard of Ukraine, as Mykhail Tkach, journalist of anti-corruption programme Schemes informed on Facebook.

“Just now in Koncha-Zaspa, near one of the restaurants, where President Poroshenko, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, Deputy Speaker Herashchenko, and a number of other politicians were, me and the cameraman were assaulted,” the journalist writes.

The journalist says the officers of Administration of State Guard of Ukraine assaulted him and the cameraman, trying to prevent them from filming.

Schemes is an anti-corruption programme that investigates corruption schemes operated by officials in Ukraine.

Koncha-Zaspa is an elite  neighbourhood in Kyiv, where many of the high-ranking politicians and businesspeople hold residence.
