EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy noted potential of the tourism sector of this Ukrainian city

Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn said that investors might get interested in metallurgy, agriculture and tourism spheres of Mariupol city of Donetsk region.

"First of all, it is metallurgy and everything connected with it, I am also convinced that since you have such a large production, accordingly, you also have a large scientific base in your city. Also based on what I could while traveling here, your region has rich agricultural lands, therefore, food production, for example, is another industry. And in medium and long-term perspective, I would not underestimate the potential of the tourism sector," he said.

Earlier it was reported that Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing of Ukraine Hennady Zubko and European Commissioner Johannes Hahn visited Mariupol and Shyrokyne.
