The border guards of the Bilhorod-Dniester border detachment at Palanka checkpoint in Odesa region confiscated spy equipment from a passenger of a bus, a Japanese citizen. He was trying to take it to Moldova. This was reported by the press center of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

"During a joint inspection with customs officers, spy equipment was found in the foreigner's belongings: two pairs of glasses, two pens and a watch with hidden cameras and micro-USB connectors," the statement said.

It is noted that the competent authorities have been informed of this fact. The "spy" was not allowed to cross the border, and the technical devices were taken away in accordance with the established procedure.

Earlier, it was reported that in Chernivtsi region, the border guards had to shoot when they tried to detain men who unloaded cigarettes from the Mitsubishi Pajero car near border with Romania. The National Guard joined the persecution of violators.

They used weapons to stop the vehicle. The car of the offenders was seized, but the unidentified people disappeared.
