Japan has allocated almost $4 million for development of National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine (UA:PBC), according to Ukrainian News.
Thus, the Minister of Information Policy Yuriy Stets noted that the funds were allocated in terms of the "Capacity development project for National Public Broadcasting Company", which was initiated in January 2017. According to him, Japan has given about 400 million yen ($4 million), particularly about 1.3 million dollars was allocated for the purchase of equipment.
General Director of PBC in turn thanked the Ministry of Information Policy for the assistance in development of the company.
He expressed hope that the active phase of project implementation will start in January 2018, while the project itself would be finished faster than 2.5 years provided by the program.
