Ambassador of Israel in Ukraine Joel Lion condemned the March of Bandera in Kyiv and called the leader of OUN the accomplice of the Nazi regime.
The diplomat reposted news about the march dedicated to the birthday of Bandera held on January 1 by far-right activists, mostly All-Ukrainian Union Svoboda and the National Corps.
“We strongly condemn any glorification of accomplices of the Nazi regime. It is time for Ukraine to come to terms with its past,” the ambassador stated.
On January 1, the march in honor of Stepan Bandera took place. They marched in Kyiv with torches and shouted: ‘Muscovites at knives’.
Up to 1,000 participated in the march. It confirmed the tendency of reducing the number of partakers of rallies of far-right activists.
Earlier, Joel Lion stated that there is an increase of anti-Semitism rates in Ukraine since people let themselves dissert on the number of Jews in Ukrainian business circles and speak absurd things about Jews on TV.
