Interior Ministry gets data about surveillance over U.S. citizens in Ukraine

The Interior Ministry of Ukraine received materials about possible illicit surveillance over U.S. officials in Ukraine, as the ministry reported.

It is noted that MP Oleksandr Dubinsky and lawyer Tetiana Kostina passed the materials about surveillance to Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.

The ministry underlined that the National Police of Ukraine would respond to all illicit actions against the American officials. It concerns common citizens, as well as the officials of the American state bodies and diplomats.

Chief Investigation Department of the National Police holds the pretrial investigation in a separate criminal proceeding opened due to the signs of the criminal offense.

“The Interior Ministry of Ukraine will act only within a legal framework along with the proper law enforcement bodies of the U.S., providing the non-interference in the inner political processes in the U.S., understanding the importance of this issue for Ukraine-America relations,” Avakov said.
