Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine claimed that the interim goals of Ukraine on the European path will be determined at the ‘Eastern Partnership’ summit. He claimed this during his speech dedicated to the Day of the Paratroopers and fourth anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.

‘I will visit the ‘Eastern Partnership’ summit in a day to define new interim goals and frontiers on the European path. But we clearly know the final goal: the affiliation in the most respected union in the world and the final return of Ukraine to the European home’, Poroshenko noted.

Also, the president noted that the Association Agreement and road map of the reforms will approach Ukraine to this perspective.

‘I want to emphasize one more time that the worst that we experienced during the last years is definitely behind’.   

According to Poroshenko, the deepening of the cooperation with the EU, economic restoration of Ukraine takes place despite the attempts of Russia to hinder the development of our state and its aggression against Ukraine.

‘The Empire cannot come to terms with our love of freedom and be reconciled to the fact of our existence as the separate nation and separate state. It began a war against us. It attempted to suppress us economically. Finally, it attempted to disrupt the signing of the Association Agreement. It was the exhausting inner-political fight that our diplomats and foreign friends won from Kremlin’, he said.
