Dignity procession would be held on Independence Day on August 24 instead of a traditional parade, as Head of President’s Office Andriy Bohdan said at the briefing on July 30, broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.
“Dignity procession will be held on Independence Day. This year Ukraine will celebrate Independence Day in a new format. Dignity procession will take place instead of a traditional parade with an expensive demonstration of military equipment,” Bohdan said.
According to him, this event will create a new tradition to commemorate everyone Ukraine is proud of.
“We plan that representatives of different Armed Forces units will march on Khreshchatyk. Donbas veterans will join the representatives of their brigades. Doctors, teachers, athletes, diplomats, and volunteers will participate in the event,” the Head of President’s Office said.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will also join the event. Later, the Head of the State will address the Ukrainian people.
According to Bogdan, there will be a concert in Kyiv dedicated to Independence Day.
