At night on Monday, December 18, between the villages of Posad-Pokrovske and Shevchenkove in Mykolaiv region the police shot dead a man who stole a car from the patrol policemen and threatened with a grenade. This was reported by the local 0512 news agency.


 According to media reports, the man robbed three food stores in Kherson city, in all cases he threatened vendors with a grenade. He escaped from the scene in a Geely car. The city police announced the "Interception" plan.

At the exit of the city his car was stopped by police, but the man, threatening to blow up a grenade, stole their car Toyota Prius and headed to Mykolaiv.

Later the car of the criminal with the help of a lorry was blocked on the highway between the villages of Posad-Pokrovske and Shevchenkove. Trying to get around the obstacle, the man lost control of the car and drove into the ditch.

When he was getting out of the car, he began to threaten police with grenade and pulled out a check. After that, the policemen shot the attacker.

As it was reported earlier the unknown shot a man dead from the rifle in front of a shopping mall near Chernihivska metro station in Kyiv on July 20. The crime occurred approximately at 23:20 on Wednesday at the parking lot of the ‘Prospekt’ shopping mall. According to preliminary information, they shot from a rifle and a gun. The dead man judging by his appearance was 40-45 years old.
