IMF mission to start work in Ukraine on November 14

The mission will continue the discussion the representatives of the authority toward new EFF program

The mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would come to Kyiv this week to continue the discussion of the possibility of opening of EFF (Extended Financing) program for Ukraine, as Interfax-Ukraine reported, citing IMF representative Gösta Ljungman.

“The IMF mission headed by Ron van Rooden will begin its work in Kyiv on November 14, 2019, to continue the discussion with the representatives of the authority toward the new program, which will be supported by the IMF,” he stated.

On October 16, Ukrainian officials came to Washington for negotiations with the IMF.

Earlier the International Monetary Fund has finished its mission in Ukraine. Its representatives have started to discuss with Ukraine the possible beginning of a new program for three years.
