IMD World Competitiveness Rating: Ukraine rises to 54 place

Columbia, Slovakia, Peru and South Africa are rating’s neighbors of Ukraine

Ukraine moved up five positions in the rating of world’s economies, as the reported of International Institute for Management Development, IMD reported on the website.

This year, the U.S. economy stopped being the most competitive in the world and got down to third place. In 2019, Singapore becomes the leader again.

Hong Kong is on the second place as in 2018.

Switzerland, UAE, Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, and Qatar enter the top-10.

Ukraine is on the 54th place. Compared with the previous year, it n=moved up by five positions.

Russia got 45th place, Poland – 34th.

IMD rating of competitiveness is published annually since 1989. It embraces 63 countries, analyses their competitiveness under around 160 criteria. The research evaluates the country’s capacity to create a competitive surrounding and enabling environment for business.
