Border guards of the Lviv and Chernivtsi detachments detained eight Turkish citizens and three Polish citizens who entered Ukraine illegally, the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) in Ukraine reports on its Facebook page.

Border guards stopped a Skoda near the border with Poland. The car, driven by a Turkish citizen, contained six of his compatriots, including a small child. They had documents with them.

"During the conversation, foreigners tried to convince border guards that they were bloggers and went to film the picturesque border," the statement reads.

They later admitted that they paid $700 to the driver to get to the border, and then planned to get to Germany.

Border guards also detained three undocumented people who violated the Polish-Ukrainian border. They introduced themselves as tourists.

After the inspection, it turned out that they were Polish citizens. They took a tourist route to the source of the Xiang River, but got lost.

Two more Turkish citizens were detained at the Ukrainian-Moldovan border. The men did not admit that they were coming from Moldova, but the marks in the documents indicated the opposite. The SBGS believes that foreigners have confused the route and planned to get to the EU.

"Currently, the details of the offense are being established and documents on the attempted violation and violation of the state border of Ukraine are being drawn up for all detainees," the State Border Guard Service stated.
