Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko opposed abolition of ATO, claiming that Ukraine will be left defenseless if military are prevented from adequate actions in conditions of aggression. Poroshenko announced during the speech in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, according to the presidential website.
“If we cancel ATO and prevent the military from adequate actions in conditions of aggression, we will leave Ukraine defenseless,” Poroshenko noted answering the question of the journalists about possible abolition of ATO and imposition of martial law.
Ukrainian President emphasized the importance of ensuring opportunities to counter Russian aggression for the Ukrainian servicemen.
The Head of State also stressed that he instructed to elaborate the draft law on reintegration of Donbas that will envisage a series of measures on the return of the occupied territories.
