The situation with human rights in occupied Crimea is terrible, informed Robert Berschinski, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) at the U.S. Department of State, reports Ukrinform.
“I deal with human rights in the US Department of State. We believe that the situation with human rights in occupied Crimea is terrible”, - Bershinski said.
According to Bershinski, independent mass media is stifled in Crimea, people are illegally prosecuted and detained.
