Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk believes Ukraine is ready to gas negotiations with the Russian Federation, though we realize that Europe has got its own interests. He stated that during the 16th annual forum YES (Yalta European Strategy) in Kyiv as the European Truth informs.
Honcharuk also said that the building of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is directed against Ukraine.
"We understand, of course, that infrastructure projects are the parts of a hybrid fight against Ukraine."
The Prime Minister thinks that Ukraine should take Europe's support without any illusions and focus on the protection of Ukrainian interests.
"We have to look at the world realistically. Every country will be protecting its own business, its borders, its interests. And we should do the same things," he added.
The PM remembered the next round of the trilateral negotiations is planned (between Ukraine, Russia and the EU) relating to the conditions of gas supplies and transfer from the Russian Federation from the next year. The negotiations will become the first under the new Government.
