Honcharuk states government would not increase tariffs on heating

The Premier emphasized that the old rules for extension of the contract with "Gazprom" are not suitable for Ukraine this year

Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk stated that the decision relating to the increase of tariffs on heating was not made by the government. He made the statement during the session of the government, which was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel

"Look, the decision about this (increasing of tariffs, - 112 Internationa) is made not only by the government. Secondly, when we will be close to the making of this decision, we will give a required evaluation of it. I am not a Nostradamus, yes. We seek to ensure that the tariffs did not increase, we do everything for this, but not everything depends on us. The only thing I can say clearly that no decisions for tariffs increase have been made today. And the government is not planning to do anything to increase the tariffs in the near future," the PM noted.

Honcharuk also said that the old rules for extension of the contract with the Russian"Gazprom" were not suitable for Ukraine in this year.
