The hit of the shells at the technological tanks during the training of the detachments of the Armed Forces of Russia became the reason for the chemical emission at the plant “Crimean Tytan”. Spokesperson of Ukraine’s Defense Minister Olexander Motuzianyk claimed this as the ministry’s press service reported.
“On August 13-19, 2018, during the training on the cover of the administrative border with Kherson region, the detachments of the Armed Forces of Russia carried out the firing experience in the areas where the septic tanks with the chemical burdens of the titanium and sodium carbonate plants are placed. As the shells hit the mentioned objects, they were damaged and this led to the significant deterioration of the environment at the north of occupied Crimea,” the message said.
Motuzianyk also noted that Russia is trying to hide the scale of the environmental problem and avoid the responsibility so it misinforms the society about the real state of the environmental hard in Crimea.
As we reported an unknown substance was discharged in the air in Armyansk, North Crimea. A greasy mud with a yellow shade appeared on metallic objects, roofs and leaves on the trees.
Later, Sergey Aksyonov, “head” of the annexed Crimea claimed that the situation with the discharge of the unknown substance in the air goes beyond the norms.
Moreover, toxic chemicals were detected in the air in the Kherson region, southern Ukraine.
Refat Chubarov, the Chairman of the Crimean Tatars’ Mejlis claimed that the evacuation of the children due to the emission of the unknown substance has begun in Armyansk.
