About Donbas conflict

Pro-Russian illegal armed groups in Donbas continue shelling Ukrainian positions, killing and wounding Ukrainian servicemen every day. They go on using Minsk banned weapons on a regular basis.

UNICEF sent humanitarian aid to Donbas. It arrived to the residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions on September 25.


About Trump and Zelensky

It all started with the publication of American media, citing a source from intelligence, saying that US President Donald Trump allegedly urged his Ukrainian counterpart to initiate an investigation against Biden’s son. The phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky talk took place on July 25.

At the same time, quite a few outlets claimed that Trump allegedly blackmailed Ukraine by delaying the allocation of military assistance.

Democrats in the United States demanded Trump to declassify a transcript of his conversation with Zelensky. And Trump ordered to publish the transcript, though he denied any pressure.

About UN General Assembly

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in New York to participate in the 74th UN General Assembly.

Zelensky in the frameworks of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly assured that ending war in Donbas by political-diplomatic means is the main goal of Ukraine’s goal.

At the same time, U.S. did not issue visa to Russian delegation members aiming to UN General Assembly.

Donald Trump also held speech at UN General Assembly.


About Nord Stream 2

On September 24, Donald Trump and Polish President Andrzej Duda discussed how to stop Nord Stream 2. The leaders of the United States and Poland agreed that this project poses a threat to Europe’s energy security.

Later, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that Nord Stream 2 was a big threat to Ukrainian energy security.

Foreign Minister of Denmark Jeppe Kofod expressed support of Kyiv position toward Nord Stream 2 and European integration during the meeting with Ukrainian colleague Vadym Prystaiko.


About Belarusian President Lukashenko

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko held the meeting with Ukrainian mass media on September 26. During the meeting he said that the country is trying to normalize relations with the United States through dialogue.

Besides, Lukashenko stated that Belarus is ready to introduce a peacekeeping mission to the Donbas and take control of the Ukrainian-Russian border, but this requires a decision from both sides.

Belarusian president also expressed the readiness to solve the issue of the pardoning of Ukrainian Pavlo Sharoyko accused in Belarus of espionage.


About Viktor Yanukovych 

This week, Kyiv court began to consider appeals against Yanukovych's sentence. His defense “provides the possibility” of return of ex-president of Ukraine Yanukovych.

On September 26, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting revoked digital broadcasting licenses from 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

The International Editorial Board of 112 Ukraine considered the decision of the regulator to be biased and politically motivated, which cause further pressure on the rights of the journalists and restriction of the freedom of speech in Ukraine.

National Union of Journalists said that revoking of 112 Ukraine digital broadcasting license was an attempt to restrict freedom of speech.

The president's office commented on the situation around 112 Ukraine, saying that freedom of speech is an integral part of a democratic state. At the same time, all broadcasters must keep within the law and license conditions. The Office of the President also expressed the hope that after the renewal of the composition of the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine the situation on the television market will be settled.
