About Donbas conflict

About situation in Belarus
On September 21, Foreign ministers of the EU countries failed to agree on a list of personal sanctions against Belarus. However, they recognized the presidential elections in Belarus falsified.
On September 23, Alexander Lukashenko held a secret inauguration at the Palace of Independence in Minsk. Authorities of Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, and Estonia did not recognize this inauguration. In its turn, Ukraine stated that the secret inauguration of Alexander Lukashenko does not make him the legitimate president of Belarus. EU stated that this inauguration is devoid of any democratic legitimacy.
Foreign ministers of the EU countries did not manage to agree on a list of personal sanctions against Belarus. According to different media resources, the decision is still being blocked by Cyprus.
Meanwhile, the European Union is going to approve the imposing of the sanctions against people involved in the construction of the Kerch Bridge.
Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia have made a decision to extend the sanctions against the Belarusian officials. 103 representatives of law enforcement bodies, OMON, Supreme and Constitutional court, employees of the presidential administration are included in the blacklist.
About Nord Stream 2
Mike Pompeo, the U.S. Secretary of the State said Washington is seeking to create a coalition of countries that will hinder Russia's Nord Stream-2 gas project.
"From the U.S. point of view, Nord Stream 2 threatens Europe because it makes it dependent on Russian gas and endangers Ukraine, which, in my opinion, worries many Germans. We hope that Nord Stream 2 will not be completed, and we are working to create a coalition to prevent this from happening," Pompeo said.
