About Donbas conflict
Russian occupant forces have been ignoring the requests of the Ukrainian side to evacuate the remains of two civilians. The man and the woman deceased on October 18, as they tripped over the explosive device while on their way to Zolote-5 in the occupied part of Luhansk region.
OSCE SMM spotted anti-aircraft defense system 9K33 Osa, located 70 km away from Donetsk on the militant-held territory of Ukraine. It is the area where there should not be any military vehicles, as it is foreseen by Minsk agreements.
U.S. magazine Foreign Policy deleted the statement of Alexander Hug, the OSCE SMM deputy head in Ukraine about the absence of the direct evidence of Russia’s interference in Donbas from the interview as the magazine itself reported. In the earlier version of the interview on October 25, 2018, Hug claimed that the OSCE did not spot the direct evidence of the interference of Russia in the events in eastern Ukraine.

About the Sea of Azov
The European Parliament has approved resolution, which condemns Russia's aggressive actions in the Sea of Azov. The parliamentarians condemned the redundant blocking and inspections of commercial vessels by Russia, as they caused delays up to a week. 'These blockings breach the international maritime law and the international commitments of Russia', the document reads.
About Invictus Games 2018
Invictus Games 2018 started in Australian Sydney on October 20. The next day, Ukrainian Denys Fishchuk won the first medal at Invictus Games-2018 - the bronze at time trial cycling. On October 22, Ukrainian athletes claimed two golds in indoor rowing competition.
Ukraine also got one gold and one solver in powerlifting. On Wednesday, Ukrainian swimmers Viktor Shynkaruk, Volodymyr Korol, Bohdan Oksentyuk and Yevhen Oleksenko put another four silver awards to the chest.
Later, Ukraine claimed gold in the team event. In addition, Maya Moskvych triumphed in the individual event among novices in the female division. Another Ukrainian archer Oleksandr Zozulyaka got silver in the individual event. One more silver medal went to Yuriy Dmytrenko who came second in the shot-put event.
About Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov
On October 25, Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov was awarded Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought, which, according to President Petro Poroshenko, might accelerate the process of his release. It was reported that Sentsov himself could not come to the official ceremony, which is to be held in Strasbourg on December 12 – his lawyer and his cousin were invited to the European Parliament at the ceremony.
In his turn, the Ukrainian filmmaker wrote a testament.
About Ukrainian Orthodox Church
Two church leaders, Patriarch Filaret and Patriarch Bartholomew marked the anniversaries of their enthronement. The head of Ukraine’s Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchate celebrated the date on October 22; the leader of the Ecumenical Patriarchate did so on the day after that.
Filaret also claimed he was ready to lead the United Local Orthodox Church if the Bishops Council will entrust him to do so. In turn, Bartholomew I said that Ukraine should enjoy the right for the autocephalous church.
On October 23, the anti-corruption bodies of Ukraine reported on the embezzlement of $20 million of state-run Oshchadbank and detained ten people who were served with charge papers concerning this case. Later Iryna Zemtsova, the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of 'Oschadbank' was arrested with a right for a bail in the sum of $246,991 as well as suspected son of MP Stanyslav Berezkin; however, the sum for his bail made $175,995. Later Zemtsova posted a bail amounting $250 thousand and was released.
About Ukraine-Hungary relations
The relationships between Ukraine and Hungary got a bit worse recently. Due to the current tense diplomatic situation and an unstable economic situation in Ukraine, the Hungarian Government wants to double the help to support Hungarians in Zakarpattia region in 2019.
On October 22, it was reported that the police of Zakarpattia region opened a criminal case on the fact of deployment of anti-Hungarian billboards in several districts.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Péter Szijjártó proposed Ukraine to sign an agreement on mutual protection of national minorities. In addition, he stated that Hungary would lift the veto for conduction of Ukraine-NATO commission if official Kyiv returns Zakarpattia-based Hungarians a right to obtain the education in their mother tongue.
On October 24, the Romanian-Hungarian political parties and organizations signed a joint statement for the protection of minorities’ rights, which was presented to the United Nations.
About IMF and gas in Ukraine

Now IMF demands to increase gas prices for Ukrainians by 40 percent. And they are ready to approve new programme for Ukraine after heating tariffs hike, which makes Ukrainians unhappy, adding to their 'dissappointment' about the belated heating season.
