About Donbas conflict

As the disengagement of forces in Zolote (Luhansk region, Donbas) is over, the Ukrainian police and National Guard fighters patrol the area to avoid any escalations – as the Joint Forces Operation HQ put it.

The Ukrainian military claimed that the disengagement campaign would continue in Petrivske, unless the ceasefire is broken. The OSCE called the date of November 9, when the division is supposed to begin in the area of this settlement. On November 8, the Ukrainian side claimed that the enemy broke the truce.

Russian presidential speaker Dmitry Peskov claimed it was too early to talk about the next meeting of Normandy Four leaders right now; it would not happen until at least late 2019, he said.

President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda said he believed that Russia would benefit from Steinmeier formula more than Ukraine. "There's nothing wrong with "Steinmeier formula", but in my opinion, it's more profitable for Russia, not for Ukraine", he told the press.

Russia sent another convoy of “humanitarian aid” to the occupied Donbas.
