About Donbas conflict

The exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia could take place before the end of the year. According to Ukraine’s spokesman in the Trilateral Contact Group Oleksiy Arestovych,"we offer to hold the exchange by December 24, before Christmas, as a gesture of living up to our deals”.

The prisoners’ exchange between Kyiv and the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) is possible only after the agreement of the road map on implementation of Minsk Agreements by the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG). A spokesperson for the self-proclaimed "republic" said this. She blamed Ukraine for failing to live up to its commitments in this regard.

The urgent session of Minsk talks group took place in the Belarusian capital. Press office of the Ukrainian delegation, which initiated the meeting, reported that on November 19. "The sides managed to agree on new technical details of the unblocking of checkpoints in Zolote and Schastya - by the Russian side", reads the message. The Russian delegation, however, refused to hold the sessions of political and security subgroups.The next session is slated for November 24-25.

Ukraine's Ministry for Reintegration of Occupied Territories plans to open a service centre at Novotroitske entry-exit checkpoint in Donetsk region.

About coronavirus and vaccines

As of November 20, there are 598,085 Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, while 56,594 of them observe in Kyiv. Meanwhile, it is expected that in two weeks the daily Covid-19 incidence in Ukraine would decrease by 20%. Ukraine will also purchase six million of rapid tests for coronavirus detection.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law on the obligatory wearing of masks or respirators in public places and transport.

US drug company Moderna announced that its vaccine shows 94.5% efficiency. Pfizer’s vaccine showed 94% efficacy. Besides, Oxford University vaccine confirmed its safety and efficiency for old people. However, the WHO stated that the vaccine against coronavirus would not stop the pandemic if people do not follow the quarantine restrictions.

Meanwhile, Ukraine expects that the anti-Covid-19 vaccine will be supplied to the country in the second quarter of 2021. Besides, Ukraine expects U.S. assistance in the supply of the vaccine. It was specified that four million Ukrainians will get free access to Covid-19 vaccine.

About Nord Stream 2

According to experts, Biden's main goal lies in the complete closure of the project and he is ready to develop the strategy that would be supported by Germany

About Nagorno-Karabakh
